Thanks for all the help at the Rock n’ Roll marathon in Seattle. Our booth was worth the $2,000 effort.
Upcoming events are the Seafair Triathlon and Torchlight Run.
Big advertising dollars came from Mud Run ads, but that income stream is slowing in the second half of the year.
Currently with $37,300 in the bank in all accounts.
Firecracker 5k should have our best income to date. Lots of volunteers
Accounts payable including hotel and airfare for $11,000, which is under budget by $1,200 for outdoor track Nationals.
Nine months for Lake City relocation renovation. More details next meeting. Once remodeled – Promotion Events may not commit to new remodel space.

CNW quarterly social events include Summer Solstice – thank you David White-Espin for organizing this event and sending out the evites as well as bringing food. 30-35 members and family came. Fall in collaboration with Brooks/SJ&J
CNW Annual Picnic – second annual scheduled for Saturday, August 11th at Magnuson Park Race Series. Evites sent out to get higher numbers.
Sunday Morning Runs – off for the Summer but back after Labor Day
Membership cards – hoping to have prototype shortly along with a reasonable quote. Committee will distribute cards initially, and then distribution to be maintained by the membership manager.
Membership database – current system is at capacity. The site Wild Apricot has proven to have the most functionality of the sites we’ve researched. Costs could be over a $1,000 per year to maintain.
New site could produce automatic emails for renewal; include an “exit survey” for folks leaving, dashboard with all members, options for general emails, events and donation tracking…….
Current membership is at 450.

Will Conwell made it to the Olympic Trials finals, where he finished 12th. The CNW Women’s team just returned from Club Track Nationals in Omaha where they took home the 2nd place team trophy.

Team uniforms – Meghan Lyle – our second order of Russell singlets is due on August 3rd and logo artwork reworked for better CNW logo visibility.

Volunteering – the 2012 CNW volunteer system is working well.
Youth Team – Christin Dulaney – just completed Jr Regionals in Bend, OR with 8 participants qualifying for Nationals.
Prep begins for Cross Country – Kentucky bound!

Wednesdaynightworkout.com – Tom Cotner, Mark Bloudek, Jerry Zyskowski & Hannah Schultz lead this weekly workout session at Roosevelt HS. Website includes workouts, race updates, list of members, training, calendar of races & contacts.
Facebook – constant updates by admin team with relevant information to out to the nearly 240 followers
CNW Newsleter – sent out again to our membership on June 28th by Dr Laura. Information sent in to Laura for content and sent out to 500 email addresses.
West Seattle meet drew 135 entries.
All Comers – lots of help from volunteers this year, especially Al Bonney and Ginnie Schmidt. Started with horrible weather and now entries midseason are really picking up. Only 5 weeks to go for the 2012 season.
Leon Johnson passed away day before first meet and a 100+ people “ceremoniously” threw the discus in his honor.
Firecracker 5k had 22 states and Canada represented in the 1,821 entries (up from 1514 in 2011).
Washington Games Youth Track meet on Saturday at Shoreline. Road Race on July 21st.
Beach Vault – we had a situation where a kid watching the event was hit in the head by the pole of one of the vaulters. Incident report with insurance company and we are covered.
Tehome won the Rock n’ Roll Marathon in 2:31. Tough course especially on the second half.
Talk of watching the London Olympics at a local restaurant or sports bar. Email discussion to follow.
