Meeting called to order at 6:59 PM – Meeting minutes: Ed send corrections to Laura. Bill made a motion to approve the July 2014 meeting minutes. Spencer-2nd. Motion passed.

NWR for August=$1533 with a year to date total at $37,500
Brian met with Bob Mahon, an attorney, regarding the corporate structure of CNW and NWR. Brian will send Bob a copy of the current contract for review.
Working on settling cross country prize money with Mark. Action: John to create list of who is owed how much money
Submitted reimbursement forms to USATF for $1200 of Club Track Nats expense reimbursement we should get
Waiting for $3000 of Club Track Nats proceeds we should be receiving
Paid out $1844 to Brooks for team gearą Gear for sale on website
513 current members, which is down from 588 in March
Lifetime members are not getting electronic communications
Action: Bill to send emails of lifetime members he has to Tahoma. Tahoma will enter into wild Apricot.
Committee is considering funding a coaching position to provide opportunity for middle of the pack CNW runners. Action: Ed to contact Shelby at Run 26 regarding a partnership
Discussion regarding change of membership cost as it has not increased in 6-7 years

Information on cross country/scoring in order to make the nationals team has been sent out via email
Kelly Kruell and John O’hearn have been named master’s team captains
Saul would like to create a motion to increase the funding for XC from $15k to $17k however Ed stated that this is not necessary as we spent less for Track nats and funds can be transferred over
YOUTH: No one to report
No new news to report.
Had the highest participation at Washington Games meet of the All-Comers series. There was not enough time to get in all the events so it is possible to host this meet on a Saturday next year.
Bill saved money on the All-Comers series this year because he did the results
Firecracker-Have not yet received checks from the vendors
CNW will be hosting XC Regionals this year at Lincoln Park on Sunday, November 23. Bill will most likely be out of town.
USATF website states regionals is on November 23, but Mark sent out an email stating it was November 22. Action: Kimber will email Becca and Mark and make the correction on the date if needed.
Resolution Run is our next big event. There might be an issue with renting the boat launch, but application will be sent to reserve it for the race. In the past, the race has not done a good job posting about the boat launch closure ahead of time.
Club Northwest Facebook page has reached 604 likes
“Athlete of the Enews” will be featured in the November issue of the Enews. Working to add quality to the Enews and make it more inviting to read
Cross country races will be covered as well as results and stories for Facebook and the website
Athlete profiles on the website is still a work in progress
Wild Apricot-Action: Laura will email committee chairs to discover committee’s needs

A committee including Ed, Vanessa, Saul, Laura, Bill and Mark listened to 3 candidates for the NWR publisher and unanimously chose Frank Field to come talk to the Board.
Frank Field presented his background and vision for NWR
Ed made a motion to name Frank Field as the next publisher of NWR. Bill-1st All attendees-2nd and no one abstained
Frank will remain a board member, but cannot vote on anything that will affect him/NWR financially
