On Wednesday, November 2, HBO will present the Seattle premiere of Marathon: The Patriots Day Bombing at SIFF Cinema Uptown.

Marathon: The Patriots Day Bombing recounts the dramatic story of the April 2013 terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon through the experiences of individuals whose lives were forever changed. The film draws on surveillance footage, news clips, home movies and three years of interviews with survivors and their families.
Following the screening, filmmakers Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg will join Boston Marathon bombing survivor and Lake Stevens resident Bill Iffrig; and Emmy-winning journalist Thanh Tan for a panel discussion and audience Q&A. Iffrig, now 82 years old and a long-time marathoner, was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated following the bombing.
I thought this film would be of interest to Club Northwest members. The screening is free and open to the public.
