Personal Info:  Brett Winegar was born in Kalispell, Montana.  He ran his first cross country race as a timid little curly haired kindergartner.  With a good helping of encouragement from his mom, he toed the line and when the gun went off, he sprinted to about a hundred meters before giving into exhaustion.  He got beat that day by a lot of kids that he mostly didn’t know.  It was a terrifying and painful experience.  However, seeing how happy it made his mom, Brett reluctantly continued to run cross country.  He would continue to get beat soundly for many years.  However, by the time he was a senior in high school, he was a 2 time state champion in the 3200 meters and one of the top prep high school cross country runners in the country, placing 22nd at the Footlocker  Cross Country National Championships.  Later on he WON the 2001 NJCAA Cross Country National Championship and placed 14th at the 2009 USA Marathon Championships in New York City.  He loves running and through CNW has met some of the best people in his life which he values tremendously.  He’s grateful for the experiences that Club has allowed him and plans to be a part of CNW for many more years!
