On October 18, Janet McDevitt of Bainbridge Island won her first national title as she competed in the USATF Masters 5 km Cross Country Championships in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Over the weekend eleven (11) Pacific Northwest members competed in the USATF Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Jacksonville, Florida. During the 4-day competition the eleven athletes accumulated twenty-five (25) medals; including twelve (12) national titles.  The championships attracted an estimated 1000 athletes who competed in 5-year divisions starting at the age of 30.  The oldest competitor was 98 years of age.

A few benefits of Joining the Club Northwest Cross Country Team: Free entry into the following cross country races:  Sundodger Invite 9/19, WWU Classic 10/10, Emerald City Open 10/17, PNTF Champs 11/1, USATF NW Regional Championships 11/21, Club Nationals 12/12.  You do not register yourself for these races, team entries will be handled by Mark Bloudek.
