About

Jamie grew up in Bigfork, MT, where she was the slowest runner on a very fast distance team (Vals 3-peat State XC title winners). She went to the University of Chicago for undergraduate and then Carnegie Mellon for grad school. There, she rekindled her love for racing, finding a new running gear in her mid 20s and adopting many clubs as she moved around the country. She’s now a professor of computer science at UW, and is very happy to be living in Seattle!
