Originally from Kentucky, Michael and his wife Jessica moved to Seattle in May of 2018. Michael works at the Brooks Flagship Retail store as an assistant manager and also leads the store's Thursday night group run the "5ish@5ish".

Besides running fast and helping people find the best running gear Michael is a very active birder, with over 600 species on his global life list. On any given weekend you're likely to find Michael at Green Lake, either running or looking up at a tree trying to figure out what bird is hiding there, or sometimes both at the same time.
